Last night we had a fun event in Kilgore to promote the race. We were given free admission to a college league baseball game. We had hotdogs and hamburgers for dinner and watched the game after. At the very end of the game, the pilots did a burner blast for the crowd. They get to walk around and ask for cards. The people love this! It's great seeing all the love that people have for the balloons, and I think sometimes both the crews and the pilots forget how their love for the sport began. Seeing all the people so excited over something that we think is just another night at the field really puts into perspective how lucky and thankful we are to even have the opportunity to enjoy ballooning.
Thanks again for all the support! Here are some pictures from the game and burner blast.
